Grundfos SQFlex Solar Grundfos SQFlex Solar
The SQFlex runs on either wind or solar power or a combination of the two energy sources so the pump was a completely new solution for water supply in remote areas.

The SQFlex is ideal for areas where there is no power supply, or where the supply is unreliable. In these areas, if there is plenty of sunshine, the SQFlex can run on solar power. If there is little sun, but a lot of wind, the pump can run on wind power. On days with neither sun nor wind, the SQFlex can run from a generator or batteries. Like the solar pump systems developed by Grundfos in the 1980s, the SQFlex is virtually maintenance-free.

With this flexibility and the low maintenance requirements, the SQFlex offered new opportunities to deliver water in remote areas, even where the power supply is unreliable.
